Committed to excellence and innovation, we seek a dynamic individual to join our team as a Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality (SHEQ) Manager.

As the SHEQ Manager, you will promote and ensure the well-being, health, safety, and welfare of our employees, contractors, visitors, and third parties.
Your responsibilities will include:
Developing and implementing health and safety policies.
Ensuring compliance with regulations.
Conducting inspections.
Investigating incidents.
Managing our Competency Management System.
You will also maintain accurate records, communicate safety policies, and collaborate with stakeholders to uphold our SHEQ standards.
The role requires a proactive approach to initiatives to advance the On Track Technicians SHEQ capability.

Risk Management
Proactive approach to new initiatives and technologies
Preparation of reports to SMT / Directors / External clients/Translink etc
Stakeholder engagement – Internal & External
You will personally promote a Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality culture by engaging staff in safety matters, addressing unsafe acts and conditions, providing consistent support, and ensuring lessons are learned from incidents. You will safeguard all individuals' health, safety, and welfare and respect the environment in which we operate.

Minimum 3 years construction health and safety management experience
NEBOSH Construction Certificate
Ability to Pass NIR Safety Critical Medical
Ability to periodically work Nightshift
Understanding of Construction Safety processes
IT capabilities, including proficiency in Microsoft Office
Ability to keep detailed records
Excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation, and training skills
Ability to work as part of a team

Level 6 H&S qualification
Rail experience, understanding of P-Way Standards
Knowledge of ISO auditing and accreditation
Experience in a similar role within the rail industry
In-date and valid PTS
NEBOSH Environmental Certificate
Formal Quality Management training

Night Control Room Operator

Job Title: Night Control Room Operator / Night Controller

You will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operations during the night shift. You will be responsible for being the point of emergency communications for 3rd party works and liaise with other departments or organisations as required, ensuring that the team has a clear understanding of all protections and worksite limits, including Points/Barrier Operators/Attendants.
This is a new role to On Track Technicians and is a fantastic opportunity for you to make it your own.
As such you will be encouraged to take ownership of the position, helping shape it going forward.

Monitoring and managing night shift operations to ensure they align with company standards and goals.
Monitoring all Safe Standards of work forms, including T2 Protection, permissible Red Zone (RZ) arrangements, DNM Train Boards, and the adequacy of protection arrangements in RZ, T2, T3, as well as T4 documents.
Serve as a point of emergency communications for 3rd party works and liaise with other departments or organizations as required.
Ensure PICOPs and ESs have a clear understanding of all protections and worksite limits, including Points/Barrier Operators/Attendants.
Maintain a detailed log of all possessions and worksites involved with OTT Safety Critical Staff.
Record all Locally Controlled Network Assets, such as Level Crossings and Points, report any defects found and ensure correct restoration as applicable.
Obtain and assess all paperwork at the end of each shift to ensure correct completion and record any possible non-compliances.
Maintain general awareness of welfare and fatigue concerns and ensure staff are supported.
Completion of a detailed end-of-night shift report summarising the data received through the shift to ensure a seamless transition between day and night shifts.

Have a strong understanding of relevant Rail Operator rules, regulations, standards, and best practices.
Have experience in managing and coordinating multiple complex work teams and contractors.
Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate clearly and calmly
Have the ability to work flexible hours and to adapt to changing work environments under pressure.
Be knowledgeable of occupational health and safety regulations and practices.
Have experience in managing staff welfare and fatigue.
Knowledge of the railway industry would be an advantage

RAILWAY ENGINEERING APPRENTICESHIP

On Track Technicians framework of training under the apprenticeship programme consists of a progress path with the possible award of an NVQ Level 2 in Rail Engineering, functional skills; English, Maths, and IT and on-track competency certifications.
The program with a pay as you learn 40-hour contract. This includes attendance at College one day per week to receive the underpinning knowledge of the job role. The remaining hours will be spent on track learning your trade.

RESOURCE PLANNER

We are looking for a Resource Planner with experience in the Railway/Haulage industry.

Work within Northern Ireland Railways (NIR) infrastructure, Maintaining, inspecting, and repairing the Northern Ireland Railway infrastructure. Ensure all works are undertaken as per the Safe System of Work (SSOW).
Being part of a team carrying out various tasks including but not limited to:
Removing rail defects (assisting welders, cut, repair and stress rail)
Ballast management (drainage – ‘Wet beds’ – jack and packing)
